Crossing the Strait of Gibraltar swimming

On Setember 11, 2014 crossed 4 Spanish the Strait of Gibraltar - 2 from the Canarian Islands and 2 guys from Madrid.
The left from the Port of Tarifa at 9:30 a.m., accompanied by a support boat, and reached 4 hours and 23 minutes later the small islet Punta Cires opposite to the Morrocian Coast.
The distance they swam was between 18.5 - 22 km. The problem are the strong currents in the Strait of Gibraltar, that prevent a completely straight path.
Besides the team had to stop in order to let past great shipps, that pass throgh the Strait of Gibraltar.
The Canaria Arancha Aránega Benítez has now the record - she has crossed already 3 times the Strait - more then no other woman.
